Amtel TIMS Software Platform Top Choice Among Medium to Large Organizations
As more and more enterprises shop around for the appropriate telecom services and spend management platform to help rein in costs, many operating in the medium to large enterprise space is turning to Amtel’s TIMS.
According to the Amtel, its TIMS platform is built on Software as a Service, or SaaS (News - Alert)+, model and is designed for landline and wireless Integration. The idea behind the model is to help clients reduce costs by removing the necessity to invest in any hardware, software licenses, or software maintenance plans, according to PJ Gupta, founder and president of Amtel (News - Alert).
The telecommunications and wireless expense management company’s TIMS cell phone software platform is designed to provide an easy method for tracking mobile services. Employees set up phone numbers to be tracked for personal usage, and companies can establish a usage policy and track it. The system automatically segregates calls and splits billing.
And the hosted SaaS+ based platform is an efficient solution for procurement, invoice auditing, inventory management and cost center allocation of phone services. It can help IT and accounting departments streamline and reduce telecom/mobile expenses at their organizations.
Gupta said the wireless management space is receiving much attention as it continues to grow, and with more businesses adopting mobile technologies, wireless management space has evolved into a sophisticated and complicated process.
"With the growth in telecom expenses especially for mobile telecom services, it is becoming imperative for organizations to seek outside help for managing their telecom costs," said Gupta.
One of the unique features of the TIMS platform, according to Gupta, is its comprehensive Wireless Policy Management. The company works with clients to set up groups based on job profile/ location/hierarchy; set up procurement bundles of device and plans; set up spend limits via policy templates for Voice, Data, Text, Roaming, International Usage in the platform.
“The best part is the system's ability to run Policy audits and send monthly report to managers to flag constant outliers of the corporate Mobile Policy,” said Gupta.
At the same time, using the TIMS platform provides organizations the ability to institute split billing or stipend model for end user telecom charges and still keep them under corporate control. This helps companies decide whether to split the bill based on personal versus corporate usage, fixed dollar value or voice and data charges.
In addition, the advanced procurement module is designed to allow organizations to centralize order management and make self service available to end users. These orders can be entered as a corporate policy set up in the system, electronically approved by the user's manager and then forwarded to the vendor with appropriate codes.
Amtel’s automated inventory and invoice management system stores the key components of Telecom services in terms of service addresses, service plans, speeds, allocations and more. It is then automatically updated with the orders module.
In all, the TIMS system brings information of distinct telecom vendors in one platform, and is designed to route orders to sub group teams within the vendors for reliable Order Management. Organizations can track foreign Invoices.
The system is designed to set up different currencies for normalized Reporting view and more.
